China-based PV module manufacturer Jiangsu Zhongli Group has successfully secured three ‘Poverty Alleviation’ projects in Guizhou, China totalling around 165MW after winning bids for EPC work.

Zhongli’s downstream project development subsidiary, Suzhou Tenghui Photovoltaic Technology Co won the bids, which include a 40MW agricultural project in Luodian County, Guizhou province, China and a 24.72MW agricultural project in Zhenfeng County.

The largest project is 100MW agricultural project in Songtao Miao Autonomous County.

The company had previously noted in its first quarter financial report that it was already developing around 400MW of poverty alleviation projects in China.

Poverty alleviation projects across China have been given a target quota of 8GW in 2017.

The China PV Industry Association (CPIA) recently said that China had installed a total of 24.4GW of solar in the first-half of 2017, a new year-on-year record, 9% above last years record installation figures.
