The United Modi Hydropower Limited’s 9th Annual General Meeting (AGM) concluded today, Thursday. The general meeting was held virtually at Heritage Plaza, the company’s headquarters.
The General Assembly has passed both general and special resolutions.
The general meeting, presided over by the company’s chair Narendra Ballabh Pant, granted 7% bonus shares (minus tax) and 0.368 percent cash dividend for tax purposes from the company’s accrued earnings for fiscal year 2078/079.
Similarly, the assembly named Amit Pandey as an independent director of the corporation for a four-year term, as well as an auditor for the 2079/080 audit job and established his compensation.
The assembly has given the board of directors authority to identify and invest in other sectors deserving of investment, and it has also enacted a special resolution to expand the company’s capital.
The majority of shareholders who spoke at the general meeting complimented the executive committee for saving the firm money by hosting the meeting virtually in such an economic fashion.
More than a half-dozen stockholders spoke at the meeting.
The assembly congratulated the shareholders for the dividends and urged that the dividend be increased in the next fiscal years.
Responding to shareholder questions, the company’s chair Pant stated that he and his staff will try to boost the dividend to shareholders in the coming days.
On March 23, the company’s shareholder register book will be closed for the purpose of bonus shares. |
