Another petroleum pipeline will be built between Nepal and India.

Following the completion and operation of the Motihari-Amlekhganj petroleum pipeline between Nepal and India, an agreement has been reached to construct a second pipeline.

The deal was struck during Prime Minister Prachanda’s visit to India.

A petroleum pipeline will be built from Siliguri in India to Charali in Jhapa, according to the agreement.

Similarly, the infrastructure for the petroleum storage depot will be erected in Charali.

Similarly, an agreement has been reached to extend the first phase of the Motihari-Amlekhganj petroleum pipeline to Lothar in Chitwan.

These initiatives will cost more than 17 billion rupees.

Industry, Commerce, and Supply Minister Ramesh Rizal and his Indian colleague Hardeep Singh Puri signed the MoU in the presence of Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda and Indian counterpart Narendra Modi.
