Minister for Industry, Commerce and Supplies, Damodar Bhandari, has expressed commitment to operating the Daiji Chhela industrial corridor of Kanchanpur with top priority.

At the concluding ceremony of Sudurpaschim industrial trade fair and Kanchanpur tourism festival here on Thursday, Minister Bhandari said he would work proactively for the construction of Dodhara Chandani dry port and Daiji Chhela industrial corridor.

"The government plans to develop Mahakali corridor as the tripoint", he shared, adding he would wholeheartedly involve to develop Kanchanpur as the industrial centre.

Minister Bhandari explained that the Industry Ministry would make maximum efforts in promotion of herbs and mining industries and a high-level study team would be mobilized for the same.

Stating that possible efforts are underway to create investment-friendly environment in the country, he stressed that the government has been making preparation of investment summit.

"The government wants to move ahead in close collaboration with the private sector. Many laws and acts are to be amended for the same. Laws and acts that are obstacles for creating investment-friendly environment will be amended", added Minister Bhandari.
