In this dynamic landscape, Geely Auto Holding Group - China’s first privately owned and one of the largest auto manufacturers - has officially launched its 2025 EX5 series in Nepal.

Distributed by LRR Motors, two models - Geely EX5 Pro and Geely EX5 Max - have been introduced, with the launch strategically timed to coincide with the NADA Auto Show 2025.

These vehicles, which have already generated buzz globally for their innovation and performance, are now accessible to Nepali consumers who had been actively researching them even before their official entry into the country.

The EX5 models boast a strong edge in terms of design, technology, battery capacity, and pricing compared to existing options in Nepal’s EV market. Both models are available in five striking colors: Snow White, Frosty Grey, Moonlight Silver, Carbon Black, and Turquoise Green.

A key feature is the 60.2 kWh LFP short blade battery, renowned for superior safety, energy density, efficiency, and longevity compared to standard battery types. Manufactured in-house by Geely, this battery is certified water-, fire-, and bullet-proof, having passed eight rigorous needle tests.

Most notably, it offers an industry-leading 3,500 charge cycles - equivalent to around 1 million kilometers or approximately 50 years of usage - far surpassing the lifespan of other batteries currently available. LRR Motors further enhances consumer confidence by offering a battery warranty of eight years or 200,000 kilometers.

High Performance and Long Range

Both models are powered by a 160 kW (215 horsepower) motor capable of accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in just 6.9 seconds. According to CLTC standards, the vehicles deliver a range of 530 km, and 430 km under WLTP testing, making them well-suited for Nepal’s diverse geography.

The EX5 series features a sleek aerodynamic exterior with LED headlamps, taillights, and a bold front grille. Inside, the cabin boasts a premium design including:

The EX5 Pro is priced at Rs 5.8 million, while the EX5 Max is set at Rs 6.8 million.
