Volkswagen Nepal proudly announced the official launch of two globally acclaimed models - the Volkswagen Virtus and the Volkswagen Taigun GT Plus 1.5 TSI - at the NAIMA Auto Show 2025, which was held on Aug 6 at Bhrikutimandap, Kathmandu.

These iconic vehicles marked a new era in the Nepali automotive landscape, reinforcing Volkswagen’s legacy of precision German engineering, unmatched safety standards, and best-in-class performance.

The new Volkswagen Virtus and Taigun 1.5L GT TSI were unveiled by His Excellency Mr. Udo Volz from the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany in Nepal, who attended the event as the Guest of Honor.

Following the overwhelming success of the 1.0 TSI engine, which had delighted drivers with its outstanding mileage of up to 20 km/l, Volkswagen introduced its most powerful offering yet in the segment - the 1.5L TSI EVO engine, which delivered an exhilarating 150 PS of power.

The GT Plus 1.5 TSI variants in both the Virtus and Taigun offered not only thrilling acceleration but also Active Cylinder Deactivation technology for intelligent fuel efficiency.
