The ‘NAIMA Nepal Mobility Expo 2025’ organized by the Nepal Automobile Importers and Manufacturers Association (NAIMA) was inaugurated amidst a grand ceremony on Wednesday at Sagarmatha Hall, Nepal Police Club, Bhrikutimandap.

The expo was officially inaugurated by Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Paudel, who lit a traditional oil lamp (panas) to mark the opening.

The event witnessed a significant presence of dignitaries from the industrial sector, veteran automobile entrepreneurs, businesspersons, and members of the media.

Following the opening ceremony, the exhibition was opened to the general public. Over 15,000 visitors attended on the very first day, setting an energetic tone for the event.

Speaking at the ceremony, Chief Guest Finance Minister Paudel praised the excellent management and preparations of the expo. He remarked that organizing such a large-scale event within a short timeframe showcased NAIMA’s efficiency and organizational strength.

He extended his best wishes for the expo’s success.

Highlighting the importance of infrastructure, Minister Paudel emphasized the government’s commitment to creating an industry-friendly environment. “No matter how advanced an automobile exhibition is, without quality road infrastructure, it cannot be fully utilized. That’s why the government is prioritizing high-quality road development,” he stated.

NAIMA President Ms. Ritu Singh Vaidya expressed her pride in organizing what she called Nepal’s largest automobile exhibition to date. “This is a special moment for all of us as we begin a new chapter focused on collaboration, innovation, and sustainable growth,” she said.

She also shared significant data, noting that the mobility sector contributes 7.13% to the national GDP and provides direct and indirect employment to over 1.24 million people.

Expo Committee Coordinator Mr. Shirish Kumar Murarka highlighted that the event is not just a showcase of vehicles but a collective commitment towards building a smart and inclusive transportation system.

The NAIMA Nepal Mobility Expo 2025 features participation from more than 50 national and international automobile brands.

The expo will remain open to the public daily from 11 AM to 8 PM until Shrawan 25.
