BYD Energy Storage has surpassed 1.5 million installed residential energy storage systems worldwide through its BatteryBox brand, a milestone first announced on December 18.

This achievement highlights a decade of dedicated development in the residential and small commercial energy storage sector. The BatteryBox series is recognized as one of the most extensively deployed distributed energy storage options globally.

The company noted significant growth, with installations increasing by 500,000 units since June 2024.

Recent advancements include the introduction of the Battery-Box HVB, incorporating BYD's Blade Battery technology for improved performance in home applications. Additionally, new Power-Box inverters have been launched to complement systems like the Battery-Box HVE, offering single-phase and three-phase high-voltage configurations.

These updates support fully integrated home energy solutions, enhancing efficiency and flexibility for users combining solar power with storage.

The milestone reflects expanding adoption of residential energy storage as households seek greater energy independence and cost management.
