A 18 MW capacity Suprim Middle Seti Hydropower Project is set to be constructed in Kaski district of Gandaki Province.

The project is being promoted by KCJ Hotels & Multif Industries Pvt. Ltd., utilizing water from Bijaypur Khola and the Seti River in wards 14, 27, 29, and 33 of Pokhara Metropolitan City.

The company has applied to the Department of Electricity Development for a generation license. The department has indicated that it is preparing to grant approval based on the Initial Environmental Examination (IEE) report and an updated feasibility study.

The project will have a design discharge of 44.14 cubic meters per second and a gross head of 50 meters. It is estimated to generate an average of 109.33 GWh of electricity annually. The project will use water discharged from the tailrace of the Bijaypur-2 Hydropower Project along with the flow of the Seti River.

The main structures will be located on the left bank of the Seti River within the Pokhara Metropolitan area. A dam measuring 90 meters in length and 4 meters in height will be constructed on the river.

Collected water will be conveyed to the forebay through a 2,077-meter-long headrace canal. It will then pass through a 1,057-meter-long pipe, surge shaft, and a 180-meter-long penstock before reaching the powerhouse.

The powerhouse will house three turbines and three three-phase generators, producing 18 MW of electricity. The generated power will be transmitted via a 4.5 km transmission line to the Lekhnath substation.

The company aims to complete the project construction by the year 2030/31.
