The 13.5 MW Super Kabeli 'A' Hydropower Project in Taplejung-8 will be linked to the national transmission line by Saturday.

The testing of the transmission line, which began on November 21, has been successfully completed, according to Meghnath Dhungana, the project's public relations officer. Following the successful test, technicians from Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) will carry out a final check before connecting the line to the national grid. The transmission line has successfully transmitted power from the Ratekhola power station to the 132 kVA transmission line at Dubichaur, Amarpur, covering a distance of 31 kilometers. The NEA technicians are conducting a final inspection before the power integration.

Dhungana said that the electricity produced by the project would be integrated into the national grid by Friday evening or Saturday morning, following the inspection by the NEA team of technicians.

The project, developed by Snow Rivers Limited, faced several challenges, including floods and landslides, which delayed construction. However, it was completed within the expected timeframe. The Super Kabeli 'A' Hydropower Project, with an estimated cost of Rs 195 million per megawatt, has cost approximately Rs 2.63 billion.
