The water processing industry run by three youths in Gulmi is suffering from electricity voltage problems.

Resunga Jal Pvt. Ltd. operated at a cost of over Rs. 20 million in Behore of Resunga Municipality-3 in the district is suffering due to low electricity voltage, said Bishwas Pun, owner of the industry.

He said that the problem of electricity has been causing problems in the regular operation of the industry.

He said that the industry is facing problems in water purifying and supply due to insufficient electricity voltage.

As the industry mainly requires continuous electricity, he argued that lack of electricity will also reduce production and this will hit many in many ways.

Chairman of the industry Santosh Kunwar said that there is also a problem with the road to the industry.

He said that the lack of easy road access to the industry will also cause problems in terms of business.

As the water industry has been brought into operation in the country, seeing the potential in the country, Pun said that everyone's support and cooperation is needed in this regard.

He stressed on the need of creating an environment for the youth to work in the country as there are more opportunities in the country than abroad.

According to him, 15 locals have been directly employed in a modern automated industry using Chinese technology.

Kunwar said that the industry, which has a capacity to produce 2,000 litres of water per hour, is currently producing 1,400 litres per hour.

Ram Panthi, another owner of the industry, said that the industry has supplied pure drinking water to the market in one-litre, half-litre and 20-litre jars.

The retail price of one litre of pure drinking water has been fixed at Rs. 20 per bottle. A dozen packets of water are being sold at a wholesale rate of Rs. 160.

He said that the water produced by the industry has been supplied throughout Gulmi district and planned to supply in other districts as well.

Arjun Pokharel, chief of the Nepal Electricity Authority Distribution Centre, Gulmi, said that preparations are being made to connect the 11 kV line of the Unayachaur substation to the area where the water industry is located.

He claimed that the electricity problem in the area will be resolved within 15 days at the most.
