Kalika Power Company Limited’s earnings per share increased significantly in the FY Mid-July 2024 to Mid-July 2025. Compared to the previous fiscal year, the company’s earnings per share grew by 15.95 percent in the last fiscal year.

According to the report presented by Chairman Surendra Pandey at the company’s 18th Annual General Meeting, the earnings per share, which stood at 9.09 in fiscal year FY 2023/24, increased to 10.54 in fiscal year FY 2024/25. The company has claimed that the income it achieved is among the best in the hydropower sector.

Kalika Power Company has also increased its total revenue in the current fiscal year compared to the previous fiscal year. The company earned NPR 84,908,589 in fiscal year FY 2023/24, which rose to NPR 98,422,359 in fiscal year FY 2024/25. Accordingly, the company’s total revenue increased by NPR 13,513,770.

Kalika Power Company, which generates six megawatts of electricity from the Daroudi River located on the border of Ajirkot and Warpaksulikot rural municipalities in Gorkha, has distributed a 7 percent bonus share to its shareholders. The company reported that it earned NPR 39,362,651 solely from electricity sales.

According to the decision of the Board of Directors, the company’s 18th Annual General Meeting approved the proposal to distribute bonus shares worth NPR 6,537,646, equivalent to 7 percent of the company’s current paid-up capital of NPR 933,949,500, from the accumulated profits.

Similarly, from the profits of the previous fiscal year, the meeting also approved a proposal to distribute a cash dividend of NPR 3,440,866 at a rate of 0.3684 percent of the current paid-up capital.

Preparing to Develop as a Holding Company

Kalika Power Company Limited has begun preparations to develop the company as a “holding company” with the aim of expanding investments into other companies in the future. At the 18th Annual General Meeting held on Monday in Narayanghat, the company informed that it plans to amend its Articles of Association and bylaws to facilitate this transformation into a holding company.

At the general meeting, Rina Gurung, Deputy General Secretary of the Rastriya Prajatantra Party, stated that creating employment within the country and generating energy by utilizing wasted water resources is beneficial for the nation and its people. At the meeting, the company secretary, Kishor Kumar Dangol, delivered a welcome speech and provided information regarding the legality of the meeting.
