The Executive Committee of the Independent Power Producers' Association, Nepal (IPPAN) has formally approved a comprehensive 50-point action plan under the banner of "IPPAN Vision 2029."

This landmark strategic plan places a high priority on elevating the image, credibility, and institutional identity of both IPPAN and its member organizations. It is meticulously designed to safeguard the rights, interests, and investments of members by driving robust policy formulation and ensuring effective implementation to tackle both current and emerging challenges within the energy sector.

A Commitment to Collaboration and Strategic Growth

The Executive Committee adopted the action plan with a firm commitment to its execution. The committee emphasized that success will be driven by active collaboration, seeking ongoing consultations, recommendations, and strategic partnerships with all members, industry experts, specialists, and key stakeholders.

Speaking at the meeting, IPPAN President Mohan Kumar Dangi stated that the association is moving forward with a crystal-clear vision and a definitive roadmap to accelerate Nepal's energy development and amplify private sector participation. He noted that IPPAN's newly formed committees and subcommittees will actively pursue their responsibilities, guided by the insights and recommendations of the advisors and expert panels selected during the recent Dhulikhel conclave.

President Dangi also called upon all Executive Committee members to work with unity, synergy, and coordination to transform IPPAN into a stronger, more capable, and highly influential institution.

Driving Nepal's Energy Future

As the apex umbrella organization for entrepreneurs and businesses driving energy generation in Nepal, IPPAN’s core mission is to bridge the gap between the private sector and government authorities. It actively identifies bottlenecks faced by energy developers and collaborates closely with policymakers, administrators, and regulatory bodies to craft sustainable solutions.

Established 26 years ago, IPPAN has grown exponentially and currently boasts a membership of approximately 700 power-producing companies.

A New Chapter of Leadership

This strategic roadmap follows the successful conclusion of IPPAN's 24th Annual General Meeting and 8th Convention, held on Jestha 29, 2083 (B.S.), which elected the new Executive Committee under the leadership of President Dangi.

Following the official oath-taking, certificate distribution, and formal handover of responsibilities on Jestha 31, 2083 (B.S.), the newly minted committee convened its inaugural meeting on Ashadh 5, 2083 (B.S.), setting the stage for the rollout of Vision 2029.
