Cimex Inc. Pvt. Ltd., the authorized distributor and service provider of BYD Auto Industry Co. Ltd. in Nepal, has launched the nationwide ‘BYD Update to Care+’ campaign aimed at improving the after-sales and ownership experience of BYD customers.

The campaign was inaugurated at Cimex Care, the BYD service center at Guheshwori, Kathmandu, and is now available across all 13 authorized BYD service centers in Nepal.

The initiative focuses on three major areas of customer support—Care+, Connect+ and Protect+—covering vehicle servicing, smart connectivity and ownership protection.

Under the Care+ component, customers will receive authorized BYD servicing, comprehensive vehicle inspections, genuine BYD spare parts, professional diagnostics and services from certified technicians.

The Connect+ component is designed to expand connected-car features for customers. It includes SIM installation, BYD App activation, infotainment connectivity and connected vehicle services with support from Ncell, BYD Nepal’s IoT partner.

One of the key features of the campaign is complimentary BYD App connectivity and infotainment activation for eligible BYD vehicles delivered before September 2024 that previously did not have access to these services. Eligible customers will also receive six months of free BYD App connectivity data with the infotainment feature.

The Protect+ component provides customers with insurance consultation and renewal assistance, extended warranty guidance and accident-related claim coordination. The company said eligible customers can also receive guidance on an extended warranty of up to 10 years. Insurance-related services will be supported by Shikhar Insurance and Himalayan Everest Insurance (HEI).

The campaign also offers several promotional benefits. Eligible customers can receive 10 percent discounts on battery covers, spare tyres, and dent and paint services, along with a one-time free home charger check-up.

Speaking at the launch, Cimex Inc. CEO Sahil Shrestha said the company believes the ownership journey begins after a vehicle is delivered.

“Through the ‘Update to Care+’ campaign, we are bringing together professional service, intelligent connectivity, and comprehensive ownership protection under one initiative,” Shrestha said. He added that the objective is to provide BYD customers with confidence, convenience and peace of mind through the company’s “Superior & Sincere Service” commitment.

Cimex currently operates BYD authorized service centers in Dhangadhi, Nepalgunj, Dang, Butwal, Pokhara, Chitwan, Lalitpur, Kathmandu, Birgunj, Janakpur, Itahari, Biratnagar and Birtamode.

The company plans to expand its service network further, with three additional service centers scheduled to become operational in Bhaktapur, Dallu and Lahan in 2026.

The campaign has been launched just ahead of the NAIMA Mobility Expo, which is scheduled to begin on August 11, where BYD Nepal is also set to showcase its latest electric vehicle offerings.

Through the new campaign, Cimex said it aims to strengthen Nepal’s EV after-sales service ecosystem by combining authorized maintenance, digital connectivity and insurance support under a single customer-care initiative.
