The new-generation range brings an updated ATTO 1, a new entry-level ATTO 2 Essential variant and a comprehensively refreshed 2026 ATTO 3, giving Nepali customers more options across different electric vehicle segments.

The company said the updated models retain the established combination of technology, performance and value while adding features aimed at improving the overall driving and ownership experience.

BYD ATTO 1 gets 360-degree camera upgrade

The BYD ATTO 1 has received technology and convenience upgrades across both its Dynamic and Premium variants.

Both variants now come equipped with a 360-degree camera, giving drivers a clearer view around the vehicle and improving confidence while parking and manoeuvring in confined spaces.

The ATTO 1 Premium additionally gets auto-folding ORVMs, providing greater convenience during everyday use.

The updated ATTO 1 is priced at:

ATTO 1 Dynamic – NPR 30,75,000

- ATTO 2 expands with new Essential variant

BYD has expanded its ATTO 2 lineup in Nepal with the introduction of the ATTO 2 Essential, creating a new entry point into the model range.

The ATTO 2 Essential is equipped with a 45.12 kWh battery pack and offers a WLTP-certified range of 312 km.

The existing ATTO 2 Premium continues with a larger 51.13 kWh battery pack and a WLTP range of 345 km.

The new ATTO 2 range is priced as follows:

- ATTO 2 Essential – NPR 45,95,000

- ATTO 2 Premium – NPR 48,99,000

With the Essential variant, BYD is targeting customers seeking a more accessible entry into the ATTO 2 electric SUV lineup while retaining the technology-focused positioning of the model.

2026 BYD ATTO 3 gets major design and technology overhaul

The biggest update in the new-generation lineup comes with the 2026 BYD ATTO 3, which has undergone extensive changes in exterior design, interior refinement, technology and comfort.

The ATTO 3 has been positioned by BYD as Nepal’s No. 1 SUV and the country’s highest-selling SUV since its launch in October 2022.

The refreshed model adopts BYD’s Dynamic Dragon Face Design, giving the electric SUV a more distinctive and contemporary appearance.

At the rear, the updated ATTO 3 features a redesigned visual treatment incorporating a rear spoiler, high-mounted brake light and Chinese Knot tail light.

The changes are intended to give the model a more recognizable road presence while differentiating it from the previous-generation ATTO 3.

More premium and refined interior

Inside the cabin, BYD has increased the use of soft-touch surfaces and improved material quality to enhance the overall premium feel.

One of the notable functional changes is the introduction of a column-shift gear selector, replacing the conventional gear-selector arrangement. According to BYD, the new layout is designed to provide quicker response while improving driving convenience and safety.

The new ATTO 3 also receives an upgraded 8.8-inch full LCD instrument cluster, providing clearer information through optimized display sizing and smoother graphics.

Faster wireless charging and upgraded audio

Technology upgrades extend to smartphone connectivity and charging.

The 2026 ATTO 3 features a 50W ultra-fast wireless smartphone charger with an active cooling fan, designed to maintain charging performance during use.

The audio system has also been upgraded. Dirac HD Sound with an eight-speaker setup is now offered as standard on both the Advance and Superior variants, enhancing the in-cabin entertainment experience.

Passenger comfort has received additional attention, with ventilated seats for both the driver and front passenger.

The 2026 BYD ATTO 3 Advanced is priced at NPR 62,90,000.

BYD has established a strong presence in Nepal’s electric passenger vehicle segment through models including the ATTO 1, ATTO 2 and ATTO 3.

The latest updates across the ATTO range are aimed at strengthening the company’s position across multiple price points, from relatively affordable compact electric vehicles to premium electric SUVs.

The NAIMA Mobility Expo 2026 is being held from August 11 to 16 at Bhrikuti Mandap in Kathmandu.
