Nepal Telecom (NT) has resumed mobile services at seven more locations in flood-affected areas, bringing most of its mobile BTS sites in the affected areas back into operation.

According to NT, the sites restored on Sunday include the Rasuwa Border BTS site along the Nepal-China border, and the Upper Senjen, Chhapthoke, Jipjipe and Gatlang sites in Rasuwa district.

The Charghare and Charghare Mulabari BTS sites in Nuwakot district have also resumed services.

With the restoration of the Rasuwa Border BTS site, telecommunication services have resumed along the Nepal-China border, Timure and the Rasuwa Border Corridor, as well as the Syafrubesi-Bhotekoshi Corridor.

The Upper Senjen BTS site has restored mobile connectivity in Chilime, Lamagaun and Aamachhodingmo Rural Municipality-5, among other areas.

Similarly, the Chhapthoke site has resumed services in Betrawati, Kauli, Trishuli 3B, Uttargaya Rural Municipality and Kispang.

The Jipjipe site is providing services in wards 2 and 5 of Kalika Rural Municipality, Dharapani and Deuralidanda, while the Gatlang BTS site has restored connectivity in Gatlang, Goljung, Chilime, Thulo Bharkhu, Sherpa Gaun, Thulo Syafru, Syafrubesi, Khangjum and Barim.

In Nuwakot, the Charghare and Charghare Mulabari BTS sites have restored mobile services in wards 12 and 13 of Bidur Municipality.

NT said its technicians have been working continuously to restore telecommunications infrastructure and facilitate communication for citizens affected by the disaster.
