The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) on Wednesday rose 15.44 points, a second consecutive day incline after the Rasuwa flood hit the region, and closed at 2,538 points.

On Tuesday, the index increased 9.24 points. The Wednesday rise was the double-digit increase in the NEPSE index after one month. Previously on July 31, the index had double-digit growth of 12.96 points.

In the intraday trading, the trading amount increased moderately, to Rs 2.94 billion from Rs 2.89 billion. While the prices of 193 companies increased, 75 decreased while 10 remained stable.

Two groups including non-life insurance and mutual funds shed 7.28 points and 0.01 points, respectively. Of the 11 gainers, all had their indices increase less than one percent.

The price of Upkar Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha increased by 11.87 percent, followed by Upper Mailung Khola Jalvidhyut with an increase of 10.23 percent and that of Atmanirbhar Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha by 10.10 percent. The price of NMB Energy Bond 2093/94 decreased the highest of 5.81 percent.

Among the companies with the most transactions, Sanima Middle Tamor Hydropower witnessed the volume of Rs 141.78 million. It was followed by NRN Infrastructure and Development and Solu Hydropower.
