The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) on Thursday edged up 4.66 points, marking a consecutive three-day gain at the country’s secondary market.

The market opened at 2,538 points and initially surged to 2,545.04 points in the first 10 minutes, while it plunged to the day’s low at 2,533.43 points in the midway hour of the total trading period. In the remaining period, it hit the day’s high at 2,544.48 points before closing at 2542.77 points.

The market volatility remained low today. The turnover amount increased moderately, to Rs 3.46 billion from 2.94 billion.

While the value of 145 companies increased, 123 decreased, while 10 remained stable. Among the sectors, the investment group increased by the most of 1.26 percent. Similarly, trade increased by 1.09 percent. The fluctuation of other indices remained less than one percent.

Finance decreased by 0.34, hydropower by 0.23, non-life insurance by 0.28, and others by 0.36 percent. The price of Wean Nepal Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha increased 8.76 percent, the highest of all. Chirkhwa Hydropower increased 8.56 percent and Asha Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha increased 8.29 percent.

The price of Pure Energy decreased by most of 13.33 percent, followed by Atmanirbhar Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha with 6.10 percent and Central Finance Co with 5.76 percent.

Among the companies with the largest transactions, Reliance Spinning Mills recorded Rs 409.08 million, Sanima Middle Tamor Hydropower Rs 133.28 million and Solu Hydropower with Rs 128.69 million.
