The District Treasury Comptroller’s Office, Chitwan has switched to solar energy to power its electric appliances. As of now, eight computers and five printers, among other electric gadgets run on solar power in the office every day.
“Long power cuts had greatly affected work efficiency, so we installed solar electricity system,” said office Chief Narayandatta Sharma, adding, “The department had released Rs 2.5 million for installation of a solar electricity system.”
