More than 26k commit to invest Rs 2.6bln in hydropower

The Government of Nepal has received commitment from thousands of people to invest in hydropower projects.

As many as 25,201 individuals committed to investing a total of Rs 2.6 billion in its programme — Nepal’s Water, People’s Investment, according to a statement issued by Energy Minister Janardan Sharma’s Secretariat.

Likewise, 28 companies have expressed their interest to put in money in the hydropower projects.
