Mid-Marsyangdi to close for 10 days

LAMJUNG: The 70 megawatt Mid-Marsyangdi Hydro Power Project will remain closed for 10 days from February 22 for repairs in Lamjung. The power house will stay closed for 10 days to repair the structure constructed to check erosion on the left side of the embankment.

Nepal Electricity Authority Executive Director Kulman Ghising said there would be no load-shedding despite closure of the power house. The water flow has weakened the structure constructed to resist erosion on the left side of the dyke.

“The repair work will continue for 24 hours in three shifts,” Gautam added.
