The much-anticipated MG Windsor EV, a cutting-edge electric vehicle, was officially unveiled in Nepal on Wednesday, marking a significant milestone in the country’s electric mobility landscape. The launch event, held in Kathmandu, was organized by Paramount Motors, the authorized distributor of the MG brand in Nepal. This stylish compact utility vehicle (CUV) is available in two variants, with starting prices set at NPR 37.99 lakh for the base model and NPR 39.99 lakh for the higher-end version, positioning it as a premium yet competitive option in the Nepali market.

Manufactured in India, the MG Windsor EV is the second electric model from JSW MG to enter Nepal, following the successful launch of the Comet Mini EV. Paramount Motors’ Managing Director Sunil Bahadur Khetri expressed confidence that the Windsor EV will set a new benchmark for electric mobility in Nepal. “With its impressive sales performance in India, the Windsor EV is poised to compete effectively with other brands in the Nepali market,” Khetri said, highlighting the vehicle’s potential to reshape local preferences.

The MG Windsor EV combines luxury with modern technology, featuring a host of advanced amenities. It includes a wireless charger, automatic climate control, electrically adjustable front seats, a power tailgate, six airbags, a tire pressure monitoring system, electronic stability control, and a 360-degree camera, ensuring both comfort and safety. Powered by a 38 kWh LFP battery, the vehicle offers a claimed range of 331 kilometers on a single charge, with real-world urban tests in India recording a range of 327 kilometers. The vehicle is equipped with a 100 kW electric motor delivering 200 Nm of torque, promising a robust and efficient driving experience.

Designed with an eye-catching modern aesthetic, the Windsor EV boasts flush door handles, LED lighting, 18-inch alloy wheels, a panoramic glass roof, rear seats adjustable up to 135 degrees, an 8.8-inch LCD instrument panel, and a 15.6-inch floating touchscreen central control system. Additionally, it features disc brakes on all four wheels and a six-speaker audio system, enhancing the overall driving pleasure.

The launch has generated excitement among Nepali consumers, with the Windsor EV’s blend of style, technology, and sustainability positioning it as a strong contender against existing electric vehicles.
