JinkoSolar, a Chinese solar module manufacturer, has unveiled a new dual-glass rooftop solar module utilizing tunnel oxide passivated contact (TOPCon) technology. The module, part of the Tiger Neo series, features a 48-cell architecture designed to enhance performance for residential and commercial applications.

The company stated: “Engineered with advanced TOPCon 3.0 cell technology and dual-glass construction, this 475 W high-power solution redefines distributed energy systems through superior performance, reliability, and aesthetics – maximizing returns for residential and commercial users.” The module incorporates a 20-busbar design, which reduces resistive losses through optimized current pathways and minimizes micro-crack risk by 30%, ensuring greater durability.

The Tiger Neo 48HL4M-DV panel delivers a power output of 450 to 475 W, with dimensions of 1,762 mm × 1,134 mm × 30 mm and a weight of 21.5 kg. Its power conversion efficiency ranges from 22.52% to 23.77%, with a temperature coefficient of -0.29%/C. The panel’s open-circuit voltage is between 35.91 V and 36.76 V, and its short-circuit current ranges from 15.73 A to 15.98 A.

Designed to operate in temperatures from -40°C to 70°C, the module supports a maximum system voltage of 1,500 V. It features an anodized aluminum frame, 1.6 mm tempered glass with an anti-reflection coating, and an IP68-rated junction box for enhanced durability. JinkoSolar provides a 25-year product warranty and a 30-year power output guarantee, with an annual degradation rate of 0.40%. The first-year degradation is 1%, and the output after 30 years is guaranteed to be at least 87.4% of the nominal power.

The manufacturer noted: “The robust 30 mm aluminum frame and dual-glass construction withstand extreme snow loads (5,400 Pa) and wind pressure (2,400 Pa), certified to IEC 61215 standards, making it ideal for harsh environments including coastal and high-humidity regions.” A 6.6 kW system requires only 14 modules, making it suitable for medium-to-large households. Compared to standard 440 W panels, the 475 W output reduces system costs by 15% through savings on racks, clamps, and installation labor.
