An agreement has been reached between Jagdulla Hydropower Company Limited and National Transmission Grid Company Limited for the evacuation of electricity generated from the Jagdulla-A Hydropower Project (124.35 MW).

According to the agreement, the electricity produced by the project will be connected to the national transmission system through the 400 kV Bheri Corridor. Both companies will collaborate on the construction and expansion of the necessary transmission infrastructure.

The agreement was signed by Grid Company CEO Sagar Shrestha and Jagdulla CEO Sanjay Sapkota.

This collaboration is seen as an important step toward strengthening Nepal’s energy system, enhancing the reliability of electricity supply, and expanding long-term transmission capacity.

The feasibility study of the Jagdulla-A Hydropower Project has been completed, and preparations are underway to move toward construction after achieving financial closure. This project is a cascade development of the 106 MW Jagdulla Hydropower Project and will be constructed in Dolpa.

The Grid Company is also preparing to build the Bheri Corridor transmission line. The 75 km line will be constructed with the support of Exim Bank, and the company is currently in the final stages of preparation after completing the study.
