VG Motors is the authorized importer and distributor of SRM vehicles in Nepal.

The company began its SRM electric vehicle journey in Aug 2023 with a vision of establishing SRM as a leading commercial EV brand in the Nepali market.

Following the strong market response and achievement of the 1,111-unit sales milestone, VG Motors is now placing greater emphasis on strengthening its after-sales service network and customer support.

The company aims to further expand the SRM brand across Nepal while working toward its long-term target of 10,000 SRM vehicles on Nepali roads.

The milestone was celebrated at a special event organized by VG Motors, attended by SRM representatives, customers, business partners, media and other stakeholders.

The event was attended by Wang Lu, General Manager of SRM’s Asian Market; Lucia Wang, Sales Manager for the Asian Market; Vishal Agarwal, Managing Director of VG Motors; Bibek Bijukchhe, CEO of VG Motors; Business Head Chandan Rauniyar; and other representatives and partners. Celebrated Nepali taekwondo athlete and SRM Brand Ambassador Deepak Bista was also present.

SRM and VG Motors described the milestone as “1,111 journeys, 1,111 livelihoods and 1,111 stories,” reflecting the growing role of electric vehicles in passenger transportation, school and institutional mobility, goods delivery and small-business operations.

According to SRM, its vehicles have been adapted to Nepal’s challenging road conditions with increased ground clearance, enhanced motor power and torque.

The company uses CATL batteries and offers a battery warranty of up to six years or 360,000 kilometers, subject to applicable terms.

VG Motors said it has expanded its after-sales network to more than 30 service touchpoints and is supporting a growing ecosystem of over 100 charging stations.

The company has also trained more than 1,500 mechanics across 40 districts and instructors from over 50 driving institutes on EV technology and safety.

SRM is preparing to introduce two electric trucks and one MPV in Nepal, further expanding its commercial EV portfolio.

The milestone event also recognized key customers and partners. Himalayan White House International College was recognized as the 1,000th SRM buyer, while Euro School Chauni

received recognition for the highest number of SRM EV purchases. Discovery Education Network Kathmandu Pvt. Ltd. received the SRM Pioneer Award.

Following the 1,111-unit achievement, VG Motors has set its next target at 10,000 SRM vehicles in Nepal, with continued investment planned in charging infrastructure, service facilities, technical training, spare parts and customer support.
