MAW Vriddhi has officially launched the Deepal Nevo Q05 in Nepal, expanding its lineup with a compact electric SUV that combines a family-focused cabin, contemporary design and advanced technology.

The Q05 has been launched in two variants - Max and Ultra - with an introductory price of Rs. 46.99 lakh for the Max and Rs. 49.99 lakh for the Ultra. The introductory prices will remain applicable during the NADA Auto Show.

After the promotional period, the price of the Max variant will increase to Rs. 48.99 lakh, while the Ultra variant will be priced at Rs. 51.99 lakh.

The vehicle was unveiled at a launch event attended by Vishnu Kumar Agarwal, Chairman of MAW Vriddhi; Vivek Sikaria, Managing Director; and Du Kaikian (Kevin), Regional Manager–South Asia at Changan International Corporation.

Designed around family comfort

MAW Vriddhi is positioning the Q05 as a compact SUV that makes better use of its exterior footprint to create a spacious interior.

The SUV has a 2,735 mm wheelbase and claims 86.6% cabin-space utilization, providing additional room for passengers. The rear seat is designed to accommodate three adults, while its backrest can be reclined to two positions of 28 and 33 degrees.

The seats use a nine-layer ergonomic construction aimed at improving comfort during longer journeys.

Practicality is another focus of the Q05. It comes with a 540-litre dual-level boot, including 90 litres of concealed storage, while the cabin offers up to 29 storage spaces.

The vehicle also incorporates more than 67 sound-insulation and noise-reduction points. Selected variants come with a 1.8-square-metre panoramic glass roof with a powered sunshade.

Global design meets aerodynamic styling

The Q05’s exterior design has been developed under the leadership of Klaus Zyciora, Changan’s Global Design Vice-President and former Head of Design at Volkswagen Group.

More than 915 designers from 31 countries were involved in the vehicle’s development, according to the company.

The SUV follows Changan’s Fuguang design philosophy, featuring a streamlined profile and a claimed drag coefficient of 0.265 Cd.

Its styling includes the Digital Wing 2.0 full-width lighting signature, star-ring matrix LED taillights and semi-hidden door handles.

The model has also received the 2026 Golden A’ Design Award, adding an international design recognition to its credentials.

405 km range and 3C fast charging

Under the hood - or, more accurately, beneath its floor - the Q05 uses CATL battery cells integrated with Changan’s Golden Shield Battery 2.0 technology.

Its 3C fast-charging system can charge the battery from 30% to 80% in around 15 minutes, subject to suitable charging conditions.

The Q05 is powered by a 120 kW electric motor capable of accelerating the SUV from 0 to 100 km/h in 8.1 seconds.

The vehicle offers a claimed 405 km range under WLTP testing, while its stated energy consumption is 12.9 kWh per 100 km.

Technology takes centre stage

The cabin is equipped with a 14.6-inch 1080P touchscreen infotainment system, powered by an automotive-grade MTK8675 7nm processor.

Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are also available, while higher-spec versions feature up to 18 driver-assistance functions.

The Q05 also offers a 540-degree panoramic viewing system, adding an additional layer of visibility for parking and manoeuvring.

Deepal announces brand ambassadors

MAW Vriddhi also announced the “Ambassadors of Deepal” during the launch event.

Cricketer Paras Khadka has been named Brand Ambassador of Deepal, while actors and public personalities Anoop Bikram Shahi, Pradeep Khadka, Shweta Khadka, Anna Sharma, Jassita Gurung, Swopna Suman, Jyotsna Yogi and Miruna Magar were introduced as Deepal owners and ambassadors.

Chairman Vishnu Kumar Agarwal felicitated the personalities during the launch.

Deepal banking on global momentum

The company says the Nevo Q05 has recorded more than 100,000 cumulative sales within nine months of its international introduction and has led China’s compact SUV segment for four consecutive months.

With the Q05 now entering Nepal at a starting price below Rs. 47 lakh, MAW Vriddhi is targeting buyers seeking a compact SUV that combines passenger space, design, driving performance, fast charging and connected-car technology.

The launch also comes as Nepal’s electric vehicle market becomes increasingly competitive, with automakers competing not only on price and driving range but also on cabin comfort, safety technology, charging capability and overall ownership experience.
